Operational Protocols & Game Mechanics

01. General Conduct

Only Way to Play: To complete registration and see the correct challenges, you must enter the Access_Code provided by your Game Master. If you are not seeing any challenges after registering, press the view scoreboard button. From the Scoreboard page, select settings in the top toolbar and confirm your Access_Code is correct - this is case sensitive!

Fair Play: Collaboration is encouraged during enablement, but flag sharing or "spoiling" solutions in public channels is strictly prohibited.

Infrastructure Integrity: Do not attempt to attack the CTFd platform itself.

Professionalism: Maintain a standard of excellence. Any attempt to brute-force the submission forms will result in an automatic account lockout.

02. Flag Acquisition

Answering a challenge: To answer a challenge, type your answer in the box and click TRANSMIT_DATA. In general, flags are not case sensitive.

Knowing the challenges: You will be shown the number of attempts each challenge has and how many you have remaining. Once you have exhausted all attempts, the challenge will be locked and marked as red on the map.

Multi-Flag challenges: Some challenges require multiple flags. Partial submissions will be logged but points are only awarded upon final validation. Any flag partially answered will turn yellow on the map. When all required flags are submitted, the challenge will close, scored, and be marked green on the map.

Flag Value: Challenges in the game have different values depending on their difficulty level. Some lower scoring challenges will have less available attempts before lock-out.

03. Scores & Updates

Scores: From the challenges page you can press the scoreboard button in the top right to open the active scoreboard. This will show yours and other players progress and everyone's position in the leaderboard.

Updates & Notifications: A challenge Master may need to provide updates during the game. Things like time left or changes in the leader board. These will be shown live but if you miss one or want to check back on any notifications, you can select the option from the scoreboard page.

04. Support & Intel

If you encounter a sandbox error or environment instability, contact the Game Master immediately for assistance.
